ABOUT US
Dr. Skylar Yearous earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia. After graduation, he spent some time in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, before returning to Georgia to pursue his dental education. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta.
Dr. Yearous continued his training through the General Practice Residency Program at the Dental College of Georgia, where he gained advanced expertise in a range of areas, including implant placement, bone augmentation, complex extractions, IV sedation, and endodontic procedures.
He is a dedicated member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Georgia Dental Association.
Originally from Rome, Georgia, Dr. Yearous enjoys an active and adventurous lifestyle with his wife, Hannah, and their two sons, Yates and Wells. Together, they love traveling, hiking, climbing, beekeeping, homebrewing craft beer, woodworking, fishing, and skiing.

I have 3 amazing boys and have been in dentistry for 17 years. I have worked as a dental assistant, insurance coordinator, treatment plan specialist and claims manager. I love being at Sky Dental, where we have a professional but fun and relaxed atmosphere.

April has been in dentistry for 24 years. She graduated from MCG in 2001 with a BSDH. In 2010 she began teaching as a clinical instructor in the dental hygiene program at Georgia Highlands College. After teaching for several years she attended the nursing program at Georgia Highlands earning her BSN in 2016. She has been with Sky Dental since 2022.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and playing on her farm!

I’ve been working in the dental field for 17 years and have been with Dr. Yearous since he took over in 2021. My role as office manager is all about making sure everything runs smoothly so our patients feel at ease during their visits.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mom to an 18-year-old son and love spending my free time hiking and exploring the outdoors.

Hi, I’m Brittany Burris, EFDA. I’ve been in the dental field for 18 years and have lived in Cartersville for 15—I love the small-town vibe and close community. I’ve been married for 17 years and have two amazing daughters, ages 11 and 14, who go to Cartersville City Schools. When I’m not at work, I’m usually at a cross country meet or cheer competition with my girls. I’ve been with Dr. Sky since he bought the practice in 2021, and I really enjoy being part of this awesome team.

What To Expect During Your First Visit?
From the moment you walk in, we want you to feel right at home. During your first visit, you’ll meet one-on-one with Dr. Yearous to discuss your dental health, goals, and any concerns. We’ll give you a quick tour of the office, then bring you to your treatment room to begin your exam. Our team is here to answer your questions, explain every step, and make sure you feel comfortable and cared for throughout your entire visit.
